The annual Jewish Scout Awards Ceremony was held Sunday June 1, 2008 from 2-4 P.M. in the Shlenker All Purpose Room, Beth Israel Synagogue. The Jewish Committee on Scouting recognized over 50 youths who earned a religious emblem.   3 adults were presented the Houston Jewish Committee Service award for outstanding service by adults.

The religious observant Wood Badge course will be held July 13-18, 2008 in Los Angeles, CA.  Wood Badge is the advanced training course for Cub Scout Leaders, Boy Scout Leaders, Venturing Advisors, District Scouters, Council Scouters, and BSA.
